East Cup — 2026

The East Cup is a traditional international football tournament for children aged 10–11, featuring teams from countries of the Islamic world and the near abroad.
In 2026, the tournament will be held in July on the fields of Kazan’s Burevestnik sports complex, with the participation of ten teams from Russia, Türkiye, Oman, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Belarus.

Tournament history

The East Cup was established by FC Rubin and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2024. The first tournament was held from September 20 to 22, 2024, on the fields of the Molodaya Gvardiya camp in picturesque Kazan, with the participation of 10 teams from Russia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan. During the tournament, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between representatives of the participating teams.
The second East Cup tournament was timed to coincide with the 16th International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KAZANFORUM” and was held in May 2025, also at the Molodaya Gvardiya camp. The participants were children’s teams from Russia, Oman, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
As part of the tournament, a football gala match was held featuring young diplomats from the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, stars of FC Rubin, and the Russian national team. The main goal of the match was to demonstrate that there are no political, national, or religious barriers in sport.

Prize winners

Kazan’s Rubin has won the tournament twice. Silver medals were taken by Kazakhstan’s Yelimay (2024) and Azerbaijan’s Sabah (2025), while Nizhnekamsk’s Neftekhimik is a two-time bronze medalist of the East Cup. The awards are traditionally presented to the tournament prize winners by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Chairman of the Board of ANO FC Rubin, Marat Safiullin.

Dear East Cup 2025 organizers! We would like to express our sincere gratitude for such a wonderfully organized tournament. The event made a very strong impression on us. Everything was thought through to the smallest detail: a clear match schedule, great pitches, and a pleasant atmosphere. We were especially pleased by the international participation — teams from different countries came together in one place, creating a truly festive mood. A special thank you for the cultural program. The walk along the “Volga Trail” was a lovely addition to the tournament — the children not only played football but also learned something new about Kazan and its nature. It is clear that a great deal of work stands behind this tournament. We hope to take part again!
Sincerely, PFC «Lokomotiv» Komron Bakhovutdinov

Dear East Cup Management, East Cup is one of the most favourite tournament of our team from Pakistan. Last year we participated in this beautiful tournament. Your top management helped us from all the directions to make it possible for us to participate. Kids were so excited there and we would love to participate every year because our team also loves FC Rubin Kazan in Russian Premier League. Thanks for everything because our children had a lot of memories there.
Regards, Muhammad Munir Founder & CEO, MFA Pakistan

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers for hosting such a wonderful tournament. Our academy takes part in many international youth football tournaments every year, and I can say with confidence that the East Cup is one of the best among them. It is not just a football tournament for children — it is a true celebration that gives young footballers unforgettable emotions and experiences. In 2025 we took part in this tournament, reached the final, and finished in second place. However, for us the value of the tournament lies not only in the sporting result. During the competition we met wonderful people and made valuable professional contacts. We have the fondest memories of the time spent in Kazan. It is a beautiful city with a wonderful atmosphere and hospitable people. Our children still remember this tournament warmly, and we look forward to the opportunity to take part in it again.

We are truly honored by your continued trust and by the wonderful memories of our participation in the 2025 tournament. We fully understand how demanding the preparation for such a significant event must be, and we deeply appreciate the tremendous efforts made by FC Rubin and the organizing committee in providing such a professional and enriching experience for young players, coaches, and academies.
